Kevin Rios is a young, aspiring director driven to help other visionaries make their ideas come to life. A creative eye that produces moments in his stories that touch on all emotions. His visual style is full of life with its surreal moments.

Kevin was born and raised in California in Orange County. His parents hail from Mexico City. They moved to the U.S. before Kevin was born. Growing up, he was exposed to a lot of Latino culture including the Latino cinema. He grew up admiring Alejandro González Iñárritu, Alfono Cuarón, and Guillermo Del Toro. Finding love and passion for filmmaking through watching their films.

 

Kevin set his sights on music videos. He began shooting for small artists around Los Angeles. Slowly moving up to more prominent and known artists. Collaborating with artists like (Rican Da Menace, SIYA, Dzasko, Levi Zadoff). Kevin’s assiduous mindset keeps on propelling him to greater heights in the industry.

Kevin has also collaborated with companies to create eye-grabbing ad campaigns for their products. He creates ads that not only show off the brand or product but have you mesmerized by the visuals. Working with companies like (Safe haven, NiCleD'or, Learn Young) just name a few. Kevin gives each piece its unique look. Something you will watch for a couple of seconds but will always remember for a long time. In the same way, Kevin can captivate an audience with his storytelling abilities. Coming out with several short films of his own and collaborating with other creators. Kevin co-directed the web series “My Roommate Is A Shinigami” which aired on Youtube, premiering in October 2021. Earning the award of “Best TV Episode” in the HOLLYWOOD JUST FOR SHORTS Film Festival in February 2022.

With his sights set on the future, Kevin is preparing to release his latest short film in early 2023. Kevin is also preparing to launch his blog in late 2023. A platform where Artists can have a voice.
